I had a lovely stay at the hotel, enjoying the beautiful views of Sydney Harbour and the friendly service. However, room selection is crucial for harbor views, and the dining options could be more varied.

Rooms
8.0
I was fortunate to have a room at the end of a row with a partial view of the harbor, but not the best as per the booking. Rooms are onto a public balcony, and only towels are replaced, so it's important to choose the right accommodation for the desired views.
Service
7.0
The staff was incredibly helpful, very polite, and friendly overall. I encountered one staff member who seemed unhappy and unhelpful due to a policy change during their shift on Boxing Day.
Location

The location at North Head offers picturesque views of Sydney Harbour and is rich in historical charm. There are plenty of great walks and lookouts in the area, and it provides a quiet, back-to-nature retreat while still being close to Sydney and Manly within 5 minutes.
Dining
8.0
The dining experience was pleasant, and breakfast was of a very good standard, offering excellent value for money. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet with Kookaburras on the Veranda railing.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were satisfactory, with an on-hand cook for fresh eggs and a problem-solving approach that was commendable. However, the rooms onto a public balcony may not suit everyone's privacy preferences.

The service was exceptional, from pre-arrival assistance to helpful staff available at all hours. The location overlooking Sydney Harbour on North Head provides stunning views. The dining experience was generous but had limited seating during busy times. Overall, a quirky yet adequate stay option with historical charm.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the service was kind and helpful, the rooms were a bit disappointing with cleanliness issues and unprepared bedding. The location is lively but not ideal for those seeking a peaceful retreat. The dining was satisfactory, and the facilities were decent but limited.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were not serviced properly each day, and there were cleanliness issues with dust and dirty windows. The sofa bed for our kids was not made up as requested, and the bright lights from the adjacent building were disturbing at night.
Service
7.0
The staff were lovely, polite, and helpful, although not very responsive to specific requests. Services like laundry, shuttle, and tours were available but not exceptional.
Location
6.0
The location is bustling and fitting for events but less relaxing for a quiet evening. The property is extensive, and the shuttle service helps move around, but there were cleanliness issues like cobwebs hanging from the ceiling.
Dining
7.0
The dining options were decent, with a good variety. However, availability outside the main restaurant was limited, making it challenging to grab a snack or a drink.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered a decent range of facilities, including a restaurant and the Engine Room. However, getting refreshments outside dining areas was difficult due to high demand.

The hotel's rooms were awesome, and the food was sensational, though we faced an issue with the sofa bed not being made up for our kids as requested. The service was tremendous, especially for the wedding we attended, with cheerful and professional staff even driving us around at 2 am. The location is absolutely beautiful, providing a tranquil retreat close to Australia's biggest city, with its own beach and a good connection by boat to Sydney. The dining experience was very reasonably priced and delicious, though the lack of planning was evident in some areas. Overall, a relaxing and picturesque stay.
